The nominated officers of MQM were again given the charge of District Administrator.
On January 3, the Local Government Department withdrew the notification to remove the district administrator of MQM from charge.

On January 3, Shakeel Ahmed was removed from the administratorship of Zilla Sharqi, while Muhammad Sharif was removed from the administratorship of Zilla Korangi. Muhammad Farooq was also removed from the administratorship of Hyderabad.
Today, the Local Government Department withdrew its notification of January 3. The government had removed the three administrators from the posts on the instructions of the Election Commission.
