Saudi Arabia: 4-day holiday announced

RIYADH: There will be a 4-day holiday in Saudi Arabia this month, these holidays will be given on the occasion of the establishment day.

According to Urdu News, the Saudi government has released the details of the public holiday on Foundation Day this year, the employees of public, private and non-profit sectors will get a holiday with salary.

Employees of government institutions will have 2 days off on the Foundation Day this year, Wednesday 22nd February will be the Foundation Day holiday, government employees will also celebrate the holiday on Thursday.

According to Article 128 of the Civil Service Law, if a working day falls between two holidays, then the working day is also considered as a holiday, thus all civil servants of Saudi Arabia will have four consecutive days off.

Last year, King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued a royal decree which said that there will be an official holiday on February 22 every year to commemorate the establishment of the first Saudi state.

Remember that on February 1727, Imam Muhammad bin Saud established the first Saudi state.
