Mumbai: The house of actor Dilip Joshi, who played the role of ‘Jethalal’ in the popular Indian comedy drama serial ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma’, was surrounded by armed men.
According to Indian media, the police control room received a phone call from an unknown number, which said that actor Dilip Joshi’s house in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park has been surrounded by 25 armed men.
The caller said that he heard some people planning dangerous activities around Dilip Joshi’s house.
The control room took immediate action and alerted the Shivaji Park Police.
Police also traced an unknown number that sells SIM cards for a company in Delhi. He said that someone used his name to provide false information to the control room.
The police registered a case and started further investigation.
