Chairman of the Management Committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi, shared with the media that he had a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. He mentioned that the meeting was held in a delightful environment, and during the discussion, he updated the Prime Minister on the progress made in reinstating the 2014 Cricket Constitution. A comprehensive briefing was provided on the matter.
As per the information shared, Najam Sethi discussed the directives received from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, highlighting the increased responsibilities entrusted to him. He expressed that the Prime Minister has shown confidence in his abilities.
Najam Sethi further mentioned that the Prime Minister’s vision is for the Pakistani cricket team to excel in all aspects on a global scale. Consequently, instructions have been given to enhance facilities for the players.
Additionally, Najam Sethi informed that the Prime Minister has directed efforts towards improving cricket infrastructure, creating employment opportunities for players, and strengthening the departmental cricket structure.
