As a result of the increased prices, long queues have formed at most petrol pumps in Karachi. Unfortunately, many of these pumps have now run out of petrol, causing significant difficulties for citizens.

Areas like Shariah Faisal, Gulshan Iqbal, North Nazimabad, Gulbarg, FB Area, and Sadar are among the places where petrol has become scarce, exacerbating the challenges faced by the residents.

Petrol pump owners have stated that it will require some time for the supply of petroleum products to be restored to normal levels, which they believe justifies the increase in the oil marketing company’s supply hold.

It is important to highlight that the government has implemented an abrupt increase in the price of petrol by Rs.

During a televised address to the nation, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar justified the price hike, explaining that it was made in the best interest of the country as part of the standby agreement with the IMF.
