Meanwhile, Fakhar Zaman, who could only manage two runs in the same match, slipped to the fifth rank.
Despite maintaining his leading position, Babar Azam experienced a slight dip of six rating points due to his dismissal without scoring. Occupying the fourth position is India’s Shubman Gill, who boasts 743 rating points.
Switching gears to the bowling aspect, Pakistani cricketer Haris Rauf’s exceptional performance in the opening ODI against Afghanistan made a significant impact. His remarkable five-wicket haul contributed to Pakistan’s dominant victory, winning by a margin of 142 runs. This outstanding display catapulted Rauf up by seven places in the ODI bowling rankings, securing the 36th position. Notably, his exceptional figures of 5-18 in 6.2 overs earned him his highest rating points to date, accumulating a total of 522.
