WhatsApp has introduced a feature similar to YouTube.

California: The popular messaging app WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has delighted users by introducing a YouTube-style channel feature.

According to international media reports, WhatsApp has announced that it has introduced the channel feature for users in 150 countries, which will be fully operational in the coming weeks.

Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, made the announcement of this feature through his WhatsApp channel.

They mentioned that they are feeling excited about introducing the channel feature, and now users can follow their favorite individuals and organizations’ channels to access fresh information. I have started my channel to share information about Meta.

It’s worth noting that WhatsApp initially rolled out this feature in June of the current year exclusively for users in Colombia and Singapore, which was later expanded to seven more countries.

The unique aspect of this feature is that when a user follows channels, no one else will be aware of it, and channel administrators will not have access to the user’s phone number or other personal information.

In the coming weeks, users will have access to a directory to search for channels based on their country. When users share an update from a channel with a group or individual, it will include a link to the channel.
