The Chief Justice has scheduled a hearing for the Faizabad sit-in case for a reconsideration.

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Faiz Isa, has scheduled a reconsideration hearing for the Faizabad sit-in case.

According to details, the Supreme Court will hear the Faizabad sit-in case on September 28, with Chief Justice Justice Faiz Isa constituting a three-member bench for the reconsideration case.

Chief Justice Justice Faiz Isa will preside over the bench, with Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Athar Minallah also joining the panel.

The Chief Justice had issued notices in the case against PTI and MQM for the Faizabad sit-in. The judgment on the Faizabad sit-in case had also led Chief Justice Justice Faiz Isa to face a reference.

A request to fix the case was submitted by the Pakistan Bar Council yesterday. Relevant parties, including the Ministry of Interior, had filed review petitions on April 15, 2019.

It should be noted that in this context, requests for review were also made by the Ministry of Defence, PEMRA, and the FIA.
