The head of a government school in Saudabad, Karachi, was apprehended on Monday in connection with allegations of harassment made by a tenth-grade student, as reported by Express News.
The incident came to public attention when the student’s father initially lodged a complaint with a senior education department official. However, no action was taken in response, prompting the concerned father to approach the police, disclosing the alleged misconduct of the accused principal.
In response to the complaint, the police promptly launched an investigation and took the accused individual into custody. According to the police, the girl’s father accused the principal of engaging in inappropriate conduct with students, alleging that the principal habitually sought opportunities for unwarranted physical contact with students.
The complainant asserted that on numerous occasions, the accused principal was observed holding the waists and hands of female students.
Hassan Sardar Niazi, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Korangi, stated that a case had been registered against the principal following the complaint, and an ongoing investigation is in progress.
