The Healthy Way to Lose 5 kgs in 1 Month

In a recent outing on Nida Yasir’s morning show ‘Good Morning Pakistan’, nutrition and wellness coach Dr Hina Anis recommended a healthy diet plan for all those girls, who want to get rid of those few extra kilos before special events and are short on time.

‘4-5 kgs [weight loss] is a max to drop in a month, in a healthy way,’ she said, urging the viewers to avoid anything more than that. ‘This diet plan is easy to follow, as one is eating everything and is still losing weight.’

Dr Hina said that the only few No-Nos in this diet are dairy products, eggs, and meat, making it kind of a vegan diet.

Breakfast:
– Any 1 fruit (preferably a grapefruit or an apple)
– Black coffee/ black tea/ green tea (without sugar)

Lunch:
– Vegetable and lentil soup

Dinner:
– Same lentil-vegetable soup from lunch
– Brown rice (half cup cooked)

Post-Dinner:
– Banana tea (with a pinch of cinnamon and cardamom)

It should be noted here that no fat or oil, even healthy fats like olive oil should be used in this diet. One can have a tsp of uncooked desi ghee if needed.

Moreover, prepare a tea with cinnamon, ginger, and carom seeds in water, and sip on it lukewarm to keep you full throughout the day.
