A high-speed dumper killed a traffic police officer in Karachi’s Mahmoodabad area.
According to reports, a high-speed dumper crushed a traffic police officer while coming down from Baloch Colony bridge near Mehmoodabad police post in Shahr Quaid area.
The police officer, identified as Shahdad Khan, was a resident of Korangi Industrial Area and was returning home after finishing duty at the Expo Centre.
Police officials say that the dumper driver responsible for the accident has been arrested and the dumper has been taken into custody.

It should be noted that several accidents occur daily due to trucks and dumpers in Karachi while heavy traffic is allowed to enter during night hours.
Earlier, one student was killed and two others were injured after being hit by a dumper near Sarjani Baba Mor in Karachi.
The rescue officials said that the three dead and injured are brothers and were going to school on a motorcycle. After the accident, the dead and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the dead youth was identified as 15-year-old Azhar, while the injured included 10-year-old Usman and 12-year-old Umar.
