Twitter’s new boss Elon Musk seems unfazed by the criticism he’s received for his decision to charge Twitter users a fee to get a verified account.
Saturday, Musk reiterated his stance on blue-tick fees on Twitter.
“Trash me all day, but it’ll cost $8,” Elon tweeted.
Social media reports suggested that Twitter would charge USD 20 per month for a blue verification badge after Musk became the company’s new CEO. Twitter’s subscription service with priority in replies, mentions, and searches will cost USD 8 per month, according to Musk’s announcement on Tuesday.
“Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bullshit. Power to the people! Blue for USD 8/month,” he tweeted.
