According to the National Assembly Secretariat, this decision has been taken in the context of the incident that happened at Parliament House Gate Number One on December 23 last month and now only those reporters, journalists and other media personnel who are associated with registered media organizations and have Only they will be allowed to enter if they have their institution’s card.

The Secretariat said social media influencers interested in covering the proceedings of the House should register themselves with the Press Information Department (PID) and obtain a session card of the National Assembly.

It may be noted that last month, some unauthorized YouTubers, TikTokers and other social media influencers entered the premises of the Parliament House without permission and behaved inappropriately at the gate number one of the Parliament House.
