Apple’s long-rumored plans to use its own wireless chipset in iPhones could be stuck.
Bloomberg sources say Apple is not only preparing its first cellular modem (currently due in his late 2024 or early 2025), but will replace the Broadcom chip that handles these tasks. I’m working on a combination of Bluetooth and WiFi chips. The parts are expected to arrive in 2025, according to sources.
The company is also said to be working on a successor product that integrates Bluetooth, cellular and WiFi capabilities into one of his designs. Such a move can simplify production and save space in the iPhone’s dense body.
Apple and Qualcomm have already declined to comment.
