Kathmandu: An explosion at the house of Nepali MP Chandra Bhandari killed his mother while Chandra Bhandari himself was seriously injured.
According to details, there was an explosion at the house of Member of Parliament Chandra Bhandari in Nepal, as a result of which Bhandari and his mother were badly burnt.
After which both were shifted to Kirtipur Burns Hospital in Nepal, the doctors said that MP’s mother’s condition is critical.
After which plans were being made to take the MP and his mother to Mumbai for better treatment, Chandra Bhandari’s mother Harikala Bhandari succumbed to her injuries.
According to media reports, an LPG cylinder exploded at MP Chandra Bhandari’s house in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu at 10.30 pm local time.
In the cylinder blast, MP Chandra Bhandari suffered 25% burns and her mother nearly 80% burns.
The Nepal Secretariat informed that Nepal MP Chandra Bhandari will be flown to Mumbai for better treatment.
According to the doctors of Kirtipur Burns Hospital, the MP is badly burnt and better treatment is not possible here.
