FBR failed to meet tax targets during 8 months

ISLAMABAD: FBR collected Rs 4.49 trillion tax during 8 months while FBR was supposed to collect Rs 4.73 trillion tax.

According to the details, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) failed to meet the tax targets during 8 months, FBR had to collect tax of 4.73 trillion rupees in 8 months.

Sources said that FBR has collected 4.49 billion rupees in tax in 8 months, short of the tax target by 243 billion rupees.

Sources said that the tax has been collected 18% more than the last 8 months, while the tax of 3.80 trillion rupees was collected in 8 months compared to last year.

According to FBR, tax collection in February 2023 has been collected at 525 billion rupees with an annual increase of 16%, the target of tax collection in February 2023 was set at 527 billion rupees.
