Saudi Arabia celebrated Flag Day on Saturday, a first for the oil rich kingdom.
March 11 was designated Flag Day by royal decree to commemorate the Saudi flag
Saudi flag regulations state that the national flag must be rectangular and green in color, with the creed “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah” written in the middle.
To celebrate Flag Day, the Ministry of Culture organized three days of cultural and artistic activities, including cultural performances.

Saudi Education Minister Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan also unfurled the Saudi flag on the roof of the Ministry of Education headquarters in Riyadh, with the participation of boy and scout teams.
