Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, affirms that the individuals responsible for the incidents on May 9 in Lahore will be apprehended and held accountable in a court of law.
Under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, a meeting was conducted to review the legal proceedings against the individuals involved in the tragic events of May 9. The Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police provided a briefing on the progress made in this regard.
During the meeting, the advancements in the prosecution process against the miscreants were discussed. A database containing information on 1,163 additional individuals involved in the May 9 incidents was discovered, and the scientific identification process of these 1,163 miscreants was initiated.
The caretaker Chief Minister emphasized the importance of swiftly apprehending the fugitive criminals and directed the authorities to utilize all necessary resources to ensure their prompt arrest. It was emphasized that the fugitive criminals must be held accountable and brought to justice.
He emphasized the need to continue the pursuit of the remaining fugitive miscreant until their arrest, without making any exceptions. No miscreant, along with those who incite them, will be granted forgiveness under any circumstances.
During the meeting, it was determined to enhance the effectiveness of the prosecution against the miscreants, and the police and prosecution were instructed to maintain the best coordination in handling the cases.
The caretaker Chief Minister asserted that no guilty individuals should be allowed to escape justice, while ensuring that innocent individuals are not wrongly implicated.
