In Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a police officer lost his life in a terrorist attack at a police post.
Late at night, terrorists launched an attack on the Shehbaz Khel police post in Lucky Marwat. In the ensuing exchange of fire, a brave policeman sacrificed his life. The police further reported that the terrorists managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
It is worth mentioning that just a day prior, terrorists launched an attack on the police post located in the Sarband police station of Peshawar, the capital of the province. The attackers approached from two directions, but the vigilant police force retaliated and successfully thwarted the assault.
According to SSP Operations Haroon Al-Rashid, the terrorists initiated gunfire from both sides of the checkpoint. However, the police swiftly responded with a heavy exchange of fire, repelling the terrorists and preventing any further escalation.
