In Rawalpindi, significant progress has been made in the fight against drug trafficking as the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) successfully apprehended four suspects and seized a substantial quantity of drugs in multiple operations targeting drug peddling syndicates.
As per the latest report by ARY News, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has achieved notable success in combating drug trafficking. In a series of six separate operations against drug gangs, a significant quantity of drugs has been seized, and four suspects have been apprehended.
According to the ANF spokesperson, one operation near Toll Plaza Gujranwala resulted in the recovery of 93.6 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle. Two suspects were also taken into custody during this operation. The illicit drugs were cleverly concealed in hidden compartments of the vehicle.
In another operation conducted near Kuchlak Bypass Quetta, a total of 50 kilograms of heroin was seized from a rain drain. Furthermore, in Zakha Khel, Khyber Jarubi, eight kilograms of hashish were discovered inside plastic bags. Additionally, an individual was arrested in Mianwali, and a search of their possession led to the confiscation of 1.2 kilograms of opium and 40 grams of hashish.
As stated by the ANF spokesperson, a recent operation conducted at the International Container Terminal Karachi resulted in the recovery of 5 kilograms of methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice.” The container in question was booked for Australia by a private company based in Peshawar.
Additionally, during an operation at the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman, 4 kilograms of suspicious material were found in the possession of an individual. The ANF officials discovered the illicit substance inside the suspect’s bag.
In response to these findings, cases have been registered against all the accused, and the Anti-Narcotics Force is currently carrying out further investigations into the matter.
