Incidents of taking weapons from the police have increased in Karachi, who is doing this?

The security guards responsible for safeguarding the citizens of Karachi are facing challenges in protecting their own weapons, as highlighted by recent incidents. An additional four police officers have had their firearms taken away, bringing the total number of arms seized from Karachi police personnel to eight within a month’s time. The identity of the individuals involved in these incidents remains unknown at present, as reported by khabristan.

An arms theft case has been filed at Shrafi Goth Police Station, with Head Constable Rana Sohail and Mangho Peer Police Station Officer Arsal Raees also registering separate cases. The incident occurred at Quetta Arafat Hotel within the jurisdiction of Shrafi Goth Police Station.

According to the police official’s statement, three officers, including myself, were present at the tea hotel during a patrol when five individuals on two motorcycles approached us. These suspects brandished pistols and aimed them at us.


As per the official, the perpetrators not only stole mobile phones but also other personal belongings from the wallets of the three officers. Subsequently, the accused individuals escaped in the direction of Future Mor.

It is worth noting that prior to this incident, during their duty at the cattle market, the culprits had already taken away the official 9mm pistol belonging to Arsal Rais, an officer from Mangho Peer. Over the course of a month, a total of eight firearms have been taken away from Karachi police officers, including a submachine gun (SMG). Regrettably, the police have been unable to recover any of the stolen weapons or ascertain the identity of the perpetrators involved.
