ISLAMABAD: A committee appointed by the Prime Minister has devised recommendations to address the concerning state of Pakistan’s national sport, hockey. The sport has been experiencing a decline, prompting the special committee to propose changes in the current setup of the Pakistan Hockey Federation.
As per khabristan News, the committee has drafted these recommendations in an effort to determine the future course of action for hockey in the country. It is suggested that an interim setup will be established to manage the affairs of the Hockey Federation, with the aim of revitalizing and reviving the sport.
Khawaja Asif, the Defense Minister, leads the special committee, which has also given its approval to the recommendations put forth by the committee consisting of Olympians.
Importantly, the Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), who is the Prime Minister of Pakistan, has entrusted the decision-making authority to this special committee.
