LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court in Gujranwala has recently acquitted Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah of the terrorism charges.
According to the available details, the case against Rana Sanaullah was registered at Industrial police station in Gujarat, based on allegations of him threatening the Chief Secretary and government officials. The court issued a notice summoning Rana Sanaullah to appear for the proceedings.
During the hearing at the Anti-Terrorism Court, the plaintiff changed their statement, leading to a deviation from their initial accusations. As a result, the court acquitted Rana Sanaullah from the case, clearing him of the terrorism charges.
It is worth noting that on August 25, 2022, a case was filed against Rana Sanaullah under anti-terrorism provisions based on a complaint lodged by a citizen named Shah Kaz Islam.
In this case, Rana Sanaullah was accused of allegedly making death threats against the Chief Secretary and his family.
