During the hearing, Judge Humayun Dilawar stated that the court had scheduled today as the third day for recording Chairman PTI’s statement under Section 342. However, the lawyers representing Chairman PTI submitted a request to postpone the statement.

Judge Humayun Dilawar further mentioned that Chairman PTI, accompanied by his lawyer Khawaja Haris, was present in the court.

The session judge acknowledged that, according to Chairman PTI, he had to attend proceedings in 180 cases on the same day. Due to the Ashura holidays, the statement under Section 342 could not be made as planned.

Judge Humayun Dilawar revealed that a request to adjourn the hearing was submitted instead of recording Chairman PTI’s statement under Section 342. The lawyers representing Chairman PTI claimed that the session court was rushing the trial and not conducting it impartially.

Furthermore, Chairman PTI himself lacked confidence in the Sessions Court, as he had previously made similar requests which were rejected by the court. During the current hearing, Chairman PTI’s lawyers did not present any new arguments to support their request for an adjournment.

Judge Humayun Dilawar pointed out that such requests were clearly intended to delay the trial. He expressed his disapproval of Chairman PTI’s and senior lawyer Khawaja Haris’s behavior before the court, stating that they have only caused disappointment.

As a result, the court has summoned Chairman PTI to appear at 9 o’clock tomorrow for the recording of the statement under Section 342. The hearing of the Tosha Khana case has been adjourned until 9 o’clock tomorrow morning.
