Every day, car owners in the country are distressed by the rising prices of petrol, but there is good news for them: a Chinese company has announced plans to set up an EV plant and establish showrooms in major cities of Pakistan.
According to international news agencies, a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing company has decided to invest in Pakistan to set up an electric vehicle plant and open showrooms in major cities.
The announcement was made during a meeting between a delegation led by the company’s Assistant Chairman, Mr. J.Y. Zhong, and the Vice President of FPCCI.
They further stated that the use of electric cars would result in significant savings in petrol costs and make travel easier and more affordable for the public.
They emphasized that this is part of a long-term business initiative, and they are focusing on the Pakistani market, setting up manufacturing units and showrooms to benefit the company.
It is worth noting that due to the stringent conditions of the IMF, the prices of petroleum products are increasing daily in the country, causing significant hardship for the general population.
