Wasim Akram advices newly appointed PCB officials to ‘be brave’


Former legendary Pakistani fast bowler, Wasim Akram, has conveyed his best wishes to the national cricket team embarking on their tour to Australia for a three-match Test series. In a recent video shared on social media platform ‘X,’ Akram specifically addressed the newly appointed leadership, underscoring the importance of patience and decisiveness in their respective roles.

Offering his good wishes, Akram extended a special mention to the “new boys” assuming key positions, including Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, and Kamran Akmal, among others. He urged supporters to give them time to settle into their roles.

Akram emphasized that it is the time for the present set of cricketers to make their mark, advising a one-year grace period for the new appointees. Additionally, he cautioned against frequent media interactions, advising the officials to stick to their decisions and be resilient in the face of potential consequences.

In providing guidance, Akram encouraged the leadership to be steadfast in their decision-making, highlighting the impact a disturbed mindset at the top can have on the team. He concluded by urging them to remain courageous and resolute in their roles.
