Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has achieved an unprecedented milestone by collecting a record-breaking amount of revenue in the history of the country.

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar released a statement highlighting the revenue collection progress made thus far in June.
Taking to the social media platform Twitter, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced that the FBR has successfully collected 7000 billion in revenue as of June 26, marking the first time such a remarkable feat has been accomplished.
The Finance Minister also expressed optimism that the revenue collection will continue to rise even further until June 30.
It is important to highlight that the National Assembly has introduced numerous amendments to the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The government has set a revised target for tax collection in the budget, aiming to increase it from 9,200 billion to 9,415 billion rupees.
Furthermore, the allocation for pension payments has been raised from 761 billion to 801 billion rupees. Additionally, as part of the Finance Bill amendment, new taxes totaling 215 billion rupees have been imposed.
