The court of Special Judge Karachi Central has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for three customs officers, namely Saqif Saeed, Usman Bajwa, and Muhammad Tayyab Khan. This development was reported by khabristan News. Judge Dr. Shabana Waheed has instructed the Federal Investigation (FI) agency to apprehend the accused.

Notably, one of the customs officers, Saqif Saeed, who is among those for whom non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued, is reportedly currently outside of Pakistan and located in Canada.
According to sources, Saqeef Saeed had submitted an application for leave in his department. However, he unexpectedly left Pakistan two days prior to the approval of his leave request. Furthermore, his leave application was subsequently canceled after the customs mega corruption case came to light. This has raised concerns about his involvement in the ongoing investigation.
Sources have reported that, in addition to Saqeef Saeed’s situation, the other two accused customs officers, Usman Bajwa and Tayyab Khan, are also facing similar legal issues. Usman Bajwa is currently believed to be in hiding somewhere in Lahore, while Tayyab Khan is also absconding, adding to the complications of the case.
Both Usman Bajwa and Saqeef Saeed attempted to take charge of their new postings through e-mails, but the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) rejected their e-mail requests and instructed them to appear in person before the member operations.
It’s important to mention that these accused officers were scheduled to appear before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, but their current absconding status has created further difficulties in the investigation process.
