Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the people of Palestine for enduring resolution of the issue and end to the unlawful occupation of their territories.
He said this while meeting Palestine’s envoy in Pakistan Ahmed Jawad at GHQ in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
During the meeting, COAS General Asim Munir while expressing concerns over the killing of innocent citizens by Israeli forces offered his condolence over the loss.
General Asim Munir strongly condemned attacks on the civilian population, schools, relief workers and hospitals. ‘Forceful evacuation of people of Gaza is a grave crime’, COAS was quoted as saying.
The army chief also reiterated continued support for the Palestine State on the position of before 1967.
At least 4,651 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since the Hamas attack inside Israel with more than 14,000 wounded.
More than 1,400 people in Israel have been killed.
Earlier, Israel heavily bombarded Gaza overnight after warning it would intensify strikes ahead of a ground invasion.
COAS General Asim Munir of Pakistan expressed strong support for Palestine during a meeting with Palestine’s envoy in Pakistan.
