London: The British finance minister has blamed Russia and said that Russia is responsible for inflation in our country, which may increase further.
This was said by British Finance Minister Jeremy Hunt while giving an interview to the Sunday Times newspaper. He claimed that the UK economy was sinking into recession because of Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
According to the report of the foreign news organization, Jeremy Hunt said that the main reason for the difficulties and instability facing the British economy at the moment is the ongoing Russian military campaign in Ukraine.

In response to a question, he said that this inflation is “made in Russia” and we need to get rid of this inflation as the first step towards improvement.
A key British cabinet minister believes the country’s economy is headed for recession after contracting 0.2 percent in the third quarter of the fiscal year and is expected to shrink further due to inflation.
It should be noted that a recession is traditionally defined as two consecutive quarters of decline in GDP. Last week the Bank of England predicted that Britain could be mired in recession for two years.
It should be remembered that Finance Minister Jeremy Hunt is not alone in holding Russia responsible for global and local crises, but even earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on similar statements by Washington and said that Western countries are responsible for the Russia-Ukraine conflict. are being used as a “lifeline”.
The Russian President said that for this reason, Western countries can blame Russia for their misunderstandings in this matter, but Moscow has absolutely nothing to do with it.
It should be remembered that since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine at the end of February, economic sanctions have been imposed on Russia.
Moscow has described the measures as backfire on the West, which has fueled inflation due to rising energy prices as a result of oil and gas restrictions.
