Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan has congratulated Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza on assuming office. There is a lack of trust between the last 8 months.
It is hoped that the new leadership will end the lack of trust in the state and the nation. Imran Khan further said that the strength of the state is due to the people.

Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir was the Corps Commander, ISI and Head of Military Intelligence. Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir completed his training from the Officer Training School. Lieutenant General Asim Munir was commissioned in the Frontier Force Regiment of the Pakistan Army. Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir was appointed as the Commander Force Commander Northern Area in 2014. Lt Gen Syed Asim Munir was appointed DG Military Intelligence in 2017.
Lt Gen Asim Munir was appointed DGISI in October 2018. Lt. Gen. Asim Munir was appointed as Corps Commander Gujranwala in June 2019. Lt. Gen. Asim Munir is serving as Quartermaster General in GHQ from October 2021. While the nominated Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza Has an excellent professional career also.
