PPP’s decision to boycott by-elections

Islamabad: PPP has decided to boycott the by-elections.

According to ARY News, sources say that the decision to boycott the by-elections has been taken in a high-level meeting of PP in which the candidates were taken into confidence.

The Parliamentary Board meeting was chaired by Bilawal Bhutto in which Yusuf Raza Gilani, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Nair Bukhari, Farhatullah Babar, Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, Faryal Talpur and others participated.

The official announcement of non-participation in the by-elections will be made by the PP leadership, while there is a clear division in the PPP on the issue of participation in the by-elections.

Sources say that the senior leaders of the PPP are against participating in the by-elections.

It should be noted that in the past few days, PPP left the matter of delaying elections in 2 provinces to PDM.

Sources said that the majority of the PPP opposed the possible delay in the by-elections of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, senior leaders in the PP parliamentary board meeting opposed the delay in the elections.

The sources said that the message of PPP has been conveyed to PDM parties.

The PP leader said that they are not openly opposing the delay in the elections, but they cannot support it either.
