Friday, Musaddiq Malik, Minister of State for Petroleum, insisted that the government was not levying general sales tax (GST) on petroleum products. Instead, only the levy was being raised, and he added that gas meters were being installed at the Area level to control commodity theft.
The state minister informed the media in the federal capital that gas resources were rapidly running out. He stated that Sui Northern was receiving 680 mmcfd of gas and noted that domestic consumer demand ranged from 950 mmcfd to 1,350 mmcfd during the winter.
