Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Atta Bandyal has said that today there are people speaking in the Parliament who were imprisoned until yesterday and who were declared traitors, but now they are public representatives.
In the Supreme Court, the hearing on PTI’s petition against the postponement of elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the Election Commission is ongoing and a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial, Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar conducted the hearing.

The Attorney General, starting his arguments, said that the court directed the parties to follow the circumstances in some cases. The court is requested to reduce the temperature first, the temperature should be reduced everywhere in the country.

The Chief Justice said that the court has always given priority to the Constitution. In the past, judges were removed from their offices and imprisoned in their homes. It was a miracle that the judges returned to their offices. Many of the best judges in the 90s did not return.
He said that we have to keep the constitution and democracy alive. Those who remained in jails until yesterday are speaking in the assembly today, they are the representatives of the people.
The Chief Justice further said that there is a political issue on the basis of which other judges were targeted. All judges are being targeted on hearsay. The Supreme Court was unified and in some cases still is. No one sees how the judiciary is being affected. Now how the people appointed in important positions are targeting the judiciary. I am being asked to convict another judge, go and examine the evidence first.
He said that the Supreme Court has the best judges compared to 20 years ago. If you talk about the law, I will listen as a judge, if you talk about my judges, I will face you, I have a heart and feelings too. Whatever he did with all honesty knowing Allah as the watcher, on this occasion the voice of the Chief Justice was filled with emotion in the courtroom.
The Chief Justice further said that the Assembly has a term and the Head of the House has the power to dissolve it. The 90-day period ends in April. The President was not informed about the situation by the Election Commission.
He said that the issue in front of us is the date of October 8. The court did not sit to create problems. Give a solid reason or start a dialogue. One party is guaranteeing the party chairman, perhaps the government will also have to forget the past.
The Chief Justice said that the term of the assemblies is being completed in August anyway, if there are talks between the government and the opposition, there will be a break for a few days. If negotiations do not take place, they will play a constitutional role, after seeing the court decision, you will say yourself that it is an authoritative decision. Each point of each side will be mentioned in the decision.
Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial further said that it was suggested to reduce the expenses, tell the court first about the expenses of 20 billion. Another issue is security, half of the polling stations are highly sensitive or sensitive. The second point is the decision of March 1 ratio, the third point is based on the decision of March 1 itself. The current petition is based on the March 1 court order. Two members of this 9-member bench voluntarily resigned from the bench.
