President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that he will implement the Prime Minister’s decision regarding the appointment of the new Army Chief.
According to media reports, President of the State Dr. Arif Alvi made this conversation during a meeting with his close friends. When the topic regarding the appointment of the new Army Chief was discussed in the meeting, the President of the State said that the advice regarding the appointment of the Army Chief If it comes, I will follow it.
On this occasion, Dr. Arif Alvi from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that “I have no legal authority to stop the advice of the Prime Minister, I have never interfered in state affairs”.
Responding to the President’s statement, Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry said that the President will perform his constitutional duties on the issue of important appointments, however, let me make it clear that in whatever decision the President takes, he will have the full support of Imran Khan. On the other hand, Chairman PTI Imran Khan claimed during a meeting with senior journalists that President Dr. Arif Alvi had a meeting with the Army Chief in which he discussed the conduct of early and transparent elections.
