Before signing the summary of the COAS Appointment, reports in the media claim that Pakistan’s President, Dr. Arif Alvi, will either fly to Lahore or call Party Chairman Imran Khan to get his approval.
It is important to note that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has nominated Lieutenant General Asim Munir to be the next Army Chief and has submitted the Summary to the President for approval.
In an interview with ARY News last night, Imran Khan stated that he was in touch with the Pakistani president regarding the Army Chief Appointment.
