Sunday, media outlets reported that PTI leader Senator Azam Swati had been arrested once more for speaking out against senior military officers.
Early on Sunday, the PTI leader was taken into custody from his farmhouse in Islamabad’s Chak Shahzad.
Azam Swati was detained by the Cybercrime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for using derogatory language toward the army chief and other senior military officers.
The case against the senator has been added to the complaint filed by FIA Technical Assistant Anis ur Rehman. The case has been filed under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and for libel.
