Right-handed Fast bowler Haris Rauf and mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed are set to make their international debuts in the first test against England in Rawalpindi on 1 December 2022.
Haris, who leads Pakistan’s white-ball bowling, was a strong contender to replace the injured Shaheen Shah Afridi in the home Test series against England.
Since his debut in 2019, the Pacemaker has played only eight First Class (FC) matches. The 24-year-old Abrar has played in his 13 games for his FC and gained experience.
He was named the best bowler in his 2022-23 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, which ended in Lahore yesterday. In the first test, the green team all-rounder he is expected to have three.
Mohammad Nawaz, Fahim Ashraf and Salman Agah will start. Pakistan’s opening players are Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq.
