Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Islamabad United’s wicketkeeper batsman Azam Khan has said that today I did not eat anything for lunch, I came with an empty stomach and ate everything in the ground.

In a press conference after playing a brilliant innings, Azam Khan said that it is very difficult to be the son of a former player in Pakistan because it is taken negatively, but father has taught me only positive things. Criticism will be high and praise will be low, so try to focus only on your performance.

He said that I am still in the early stages of my career, my career started because of Quetta Gladiators, Shadab played a big role in bringing me to Islamabad United, I am in a good zone by playing cricket all over the world. Be ready to play wherever you get the chance and ready to play for Pakistan, it is everyone’s dream to play for Pakistan.

On a question, Azam Khan said that it is the dream of every player to represent Pakistan, as far as the Pakistan team is concerned, I am in a good zone. If selected, then John is also there for Pakistan. Playing T20 is not a big thing, if I get a chance I will definitely play.

Azam Khan said that if he is not selected in the team, he is disappointed, but he keeps focus on his performance, he tries to improve the game more.

He said that one has to practice for the short of the tournament, good short comes sometimes, one should never be satisfied with his performance, when scoring runs, the hunger for runs should increase.
