The holding of Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Lahore is in jeopardy.
According to reports, Punjab Cabinet met under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi in which the cabinet apologized for giving 50 crores for PSL.
Sources say that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been informed of the final decision by the Punjab Cabinet.
According to the sources, the government will give the expenses to PCB only when PCB pays 25 crores while the Punjab government has already spent Rs 45 crores on PSL matches.
It should be noted that when the caretaker government of Punjab demanded Rs 45 crore for security, the board and the franchise flatly refused to give the money.
The Cricket Board took a stand that for PSL, the Punjab government will get 70 crores of tax, despite paying heavy taxes, it is being punished.
Sources say that PCB has also prepared an alternative plan, PSL matches will be shifted from Pindi and Lahore to Karachi from Tuesday.
