Lahore Qalandars made the highest score of PSL 8

LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars have set the highest total of PSL 8 thanks to the aggressive batting of Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafiq.

According to the details, the first match of PSL 8 is being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where Peshawar Zalmi and home team Lahore Qalandars are facing each other.

Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 241 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs to post the highest total of PSL 8 on the scoreboard.

Fakhar Zaman made a lot of trouble for the bowlers of Peshawar Zalmi, he played an impressive innings of 96 runs off 45 balls, his brilliant innings included 10 sixes and 3 fours.

Abdullah Shafique also tested the bowlers of Zalmi well and played an innings of 75 runs off 40 balls. Sam Billings also beat the bowlers of Peshawar Zalmi well in the closing moments of the match, he scored 47 runs off 23 balls.

Talking after the toss, Lahore’s captain said that our bowling is quite good, it got better with the arrival of Rashid Khan, that’s why he decided to bat, he will try to reach 170 runs while batting first.

Pishawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam said that today is our first match against Lahore in PSL 8 and we will try to take wickets in the beginning and put pressure on the opposing team.

Lahore Qalandars have made two changes in today’s match, Shai Hope has been replaced by Sam Billings while Kamran Ghulam has been replaced by Abdullah.

Zalmi also made two changes in today’s match, Rajapakse replaced Dasun Shanaka, Usman Qadir replaced Salman Arshad in the final XI.
