LAHORE: Kieron Pollard’s gesture to the Lahore Qalandars’ batsman to go to the pavilion became expensive, the Pakistan Cricket Board took action.
According to details, Multan Sultans player Kieron Pollard has been reprimanded for violating the code of conduct of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in a statement that the Multan Sultans all-rounder made gestures to Abdullah Shafiq after dismissing him in Saturday’s match against Lahore Qalandars, which led to an “aggressive response” from the batsman.
PCB said that after the incident at Gaddafi Stadium, Kieron Pollard has accepted the fine imposed by the match referee Muhammad Javed Malik.
The complaint against Kieron Pollard was made by on-field umpires Martin Segers and Faisal Afridi and third umpire Ahsan Raza and fourth umpire Shozab Raza.
It should be noted that in the last match, Multan Sultans all-rounder Pollard caught Lahore Qalandars player Abdullah Shafiq on his own ball and signaled him to go to the pavilion.
