Saim Ayub and Babar Azam’s record opening partnership has given Quetta a mountain-like target to win.
According to details, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and decided to bat against Quetta Gladiators in the twenty-fifth match of PSL being played at Pindi Stadium.
Peshawar Zalmi scored 240 runs for the loss of two wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Captain Babar Azam and Saim Ayub took an aggressive approach from the beginning and did not let any of the Quetta bowlers go, the two batsmen entertained the cricket fans by playing charming strokes all around the field.
Babar Azam scored an unbeaten century, he scored 115 runs off 65 balls, Babar’s innings included 3 sixes and 15 fours.
Saim Ayub played a brilliant innings of 74 runs off 34 balls, his innings included 5 sixes and 6 fours.
In the final overs of Peshawar Zalmi, Rowman Paul led the score with lightning speed and scored 35 runs off 18 balls.
Devine Pretoris got only one wicket from Quetta.
On the occasion of the toss, captain Peshawar Zalmi Babar Azam said that our combination is very good, that’s why we have decided to bat first, we will try to defend by making a good total.
Babar Azam said that no change has been made in the team for today’s match.
Muhammad Nawaz, who took over the command of Quetta Gladiators in place of Sarfraz, said that if we had won the toss, we would have bowled first.
He said that he will try to restrict Peshawar Zalmi to minimum runs. Captain Mohammad Nawaz said that Jason Roy and Mohammad Hasnain have returned to the team.
