World champions England suffered an upset defeat by Bangladesh

Najamul Hussain’s aggressive half-century helped Bangladesh upset the world champions England in the first T20I.

In the first match of the three-match series played in Chittagong, Najamul Hussain led the team to victory by scoring 51 runs off 30 balls.

Batting first, England captain Buttler scored 80 runs in an opening partnership with Phil Salt, but after losing the captain, the England team could not cope and were restricted to just 156 runs. England scored only 21 runs in the last five overs.

Chasing the target, Bangladesh got off to a positive start as Ronnie Talaqdar (21) and Latin Das (12) scored 33 runs in the opening stand. Adil Rashid bowled Talaqdar to break the opening pair, Jofra Archer soon sent Litton to the pavilion.
