Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has paid tribute to Aleem Dar, who resigned from the elite panel, for his excellent service.
Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar has withdrawn from the elite panel of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Pakistan umpire Ahsan Raza has been included in the panel in his place.
Aleem Dar has umpired in 435 international matches which is a world record. He has supervised a record 144 Tests and 222 ODIs and 69 T20 International matches.
Aleem Dar was the first Pakistani umpire to join the ICC Elite Panel. He joined the elite panel of umpires in 2004, winning the best umpire award three times in a row from 2009 to 2011.
However, now Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to Aleem Dar for his excellent services and said that Aleem Dar has umpired well in all formats of world cricket.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further said that Pakistan is proud of Aleem Dar’s excellent performance.
