On Thursday, the ICC Player of the Month for August nominees were announced, featuring two Pakistani cricketers and West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran. Among this dynamic duo from Pakistan are the acclaimed batsman, Babar Azam, and the versatile all-rounder, Shadab Khan.

ICC Player

Babar Azam is on the verge of making history as he aims to secure his third ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award. His nomination is a result of his exceptional batting displays, which included scoring 53 and 60 runs during Pakistan’s dominant 3-0 ODI series victory over Afghanistan. Furthermore, he delivered a remarkable performance by amassing 151 runs against Nepal in the Asia Cup opener last month.

In contrast, Shadab Khan has received his inaugural nomination for the Player of the Month awards. His nomination is a recognition of his outstanding performances in August, where he showcased his prowess with both the bat and the ball in matches against Afghanistan and Nepal. While he initially claimed just one wicket in the first two matches against Afghanistan, he made a significant impact by capturing three wickets for 42 runs, contributing to a clean sweep victory. Additionally, Shadab displayed remarkable bowling skills with four wickets for 27 runs in the match against Nepal.
