New Zealand dropped two of their experienced players in the white ball series against India.
The Black Caps have announced the squad for the T20I and ODI series against India which will be led by Kane Williamson.
Veteran Martin Guptill and fast bowler Trent Boult, who were part of the World Cup squad, have been ruled out of the series against India.
Martin Guptill has been replaced by aggressive batsman Finn Allen, who was also a part of the team in the World Cup. Finn Allen will also be part of the ODI squad.
Trent Boult was not included after the New Zealand board terminated his central contract. Coach Gary Stead says the decision to drop Trent Boult and Martin Guptill was difficult.
He said that when Bolt terminated his contract in August, we decided to give a chance to players who are under central or domestic contracts.
It should be noted that the 3-T20I series against New Zealand and India will start from Friday, November 18, while the three-match ODI series will be played from November 25.
