National team’s middle-order batsman Umar Akmal requested a meeting with former cricketer and PCB chairman Ramiz Raja.
In an interview to private TV, Umar Akmal revealed that he wants to play cricket but the team management is ignoring him for no reason, saying that he wants to discuss “a few things” with chairman Rameez Raja.
Umar Akmal was banned from all cricket activities by the Pakistan Cricket Board in 2020 but later the ban was reduced and allowed to play domestic cricket in 2021.
The national team’s middle-order batsman was suspended for not reporting spot-fixing during Pakistan Super League 6, for which he apologized while also giving lectures on anti-corruption.
