NAB files reference in £190 million settlement case

ISLAMABAD: On Friday, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) formally implicated former Prime Minister Imran Khan as an accused in the £190 million settlement case by filing a reference. A total of eight individuals have been named in the case, including Imran's wife, Bushra Bibi, her associate Farhat Shahzadi (Farah Gogi), PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari, former accountability chief Shahzad Akbar, and Barrister Zia-ul-Mustafa Naseem.

'Un-Islamic' marriage case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi ha been quashed by a district and sessions court in Islamabad. In an application submitted by Muhammad Hanif, the petitioner, it was stated that the complaint is being withdrawn due to technical reasons. The Judicial Magistrate Qudrat Ullah granted permission to withdraw the complaint under Section 248 Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and subsequently quashed the case.

NAB Gets PTI Chairman’s Physical Remand in £190m Case

An accountability court in Rawalpindi has approved a 4-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the £190 million settlement case. The hearing, presided over by Judge Muhammad Bashir, took place in Adiala Jail. Despite opposition from Imran's lawyer Latif Khan Khosa, the court ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to continue investigating PTI chief inside the jail. The proceedings have been adjourned till November 27.

Court Grants Physical Remand of PTI Chairman in £190m Case

An accountability court in Rawalpindi has approved a 4-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the £190 million settlement case. The hearing took place in Adiala Jail, presided over by Judge Muhammad Bashir. Meanwhile, the bail of Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI Chairman, has been extended till November 21 in Al-Qadir Trust cases. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is investigating Imran Khan, his wife, and others for the alleged gain of hundreds of canals of land in the name of Al Qadir University Trust, causing a loss of 190 million pounds to the national exchequer. The charges state that the accused adjusted Rs50 billion, equivalent to 190 million pounds at the time, sent by Britain's National Crime Agency (NCA) to the government. The PTI chief registered Trust for Al-Qadir University Project on December 26, 2019.
