Pakistan bans New Year celebrations in solidarity with Palestinians
Pakistan has banned New Year celebrations to show solidarity with Palestinians. Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar urged the public to express support and observe simplicity. He highlighted the plight of Palestinians and Pakistan’s efforts in aiding them. The government is in close contact with other countries for aid and treatment of Palestinians.
